Sammy graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from Monash University in 2019. Since then, she has developed extensive experience working across a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practice, and sports.
Her professional journey has seen her collaborate with local dance schools and gymnastics clubs, consulting on injury management and prevention. In addition to this, Sammy currently works as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for Skylark Sports’ competitive acrobatic gymnastics program, where she is committed to enhancing athletic performance while minimising the risk of injury.
Sammy’s passion for physiotherapy stems from her own experiences during her career as a competitive athlete in gymnastics, sport aerobics, and cheerleading. With a background in both coaching and competing at national and international levels, her insights into the demands of artistic sports inspires her passion for helping others reach their full potential. She works closely with dancers, gymnasts and cheerleaders to optimise biomechanics, prevent injury, and promote long-term athletic health. She is also available for pre-pointe assessments.
She continues to remain involved in the gymnastics community, providing physiotherapy coverage at state and national level competitions for Gymnastics Victoria.
Sammy has completed further training in Pilates, allowing her to integrate its principles into her rehabilitation plans. By combining manual treatment with evidence-based exercise rehabilitation, she helps clients build strong, resilient bodies.
