Madeleine commenced working at Alphington Sports Medicine in 2011. She is one of our qualified Clinical Pilates physiotherapists, gym instructor and real-time ultrasound practitioners that can develop and progress rehabilitation and exercise programs for her patients. She has developed a growing interest in the biomechanics of the lower limb in running with an emphasis of preventing injuries and improving technique. Madeleine has completed her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University and has obtained the title of ‘Sports Physiotherapist’ by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Madeleine runs some of our Group Exercise Classes, is also qualified in dry needling, and has completed courses in McKenzie’s therapy and Sports Physiotherapy. She currently works as a guest speaker at Exercise Research Australia, which trains exercise physiologists, strength and conditioning coaches and allied health professionals. Madeleine has been involved in many research projects and is currently assisting in a core stability research project through LaTrobe University. Other experience includes travelling to East Timor to volunteer services within a medical team in 2013. She is currently working (as a Physiotherapist) with the Sapphires (Australia’s U17 Women’s Basketball team, 2016 World Champions), U18 Victoria Country Womens Basketball team, and is the head Physio for the Olympic and Paralympic Table Tennis team.
