Dr Tanusha Cardoso is a specialist in Sport and Exercise Medicine and accredited by the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians. Joining the Clinic in 2015, Tanusha offers her consulting services to the general public, the Australian Defence force, Work cover and TAC patients.
She enjoys the diversity that the specialty offers and has worked across a multitude of sports, both in terms of consulting and event coverage. This included the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup (2022), the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup (2020), the Commonwealth games (2018), the Ara Fura games (2011) and the Alice Springs Masters games (2010, 2012, 2014).
Dr Cardoso has previously worked in the role of Team Doctor for the Young Matildas (2019 -2021), the Matildas (home series medical coverage in 2021 and 2022), the Opals (2018-2019), the Collingwood AFLW Team (2018), the Melbourne Storm Under-20s Rugby League team (2014), the Rumbalara Football and Netball Club (2011) and toured internationally with the Young Matildas, the Opals, the Pararoos and the Joeys. She also serves as Match Day Doctor for Cricket Australia during the national cricket season (2017 – present).
She has previously worked at the Australian Institute of Sport and her published research includes tendinopathy, iron supplementation and AFL injuries.
